Eastbourne is a village situated half an hour by train from London. Eastbourne is the favourite holiday destination of many people in England. School in Eastbourne is located near the shopping centre surrounded by many caffees, restaurants and sport clubs. There is a caffee with the view on the garden in the school of Eastbourne. There is a heated swimming pool near the garden. In the evenings the students organize parties, competitions and play games, e.g. tennis, squash, basketball or volleyball. On free days the employees of the School organize fantastic trips to London, Oxford or Canterbury.

GENERAL COURSE, INTENSIVE, SUPER INTENSIVE
 

SEMESTER COURSE - International Semester Courses (ISC)
Courses with discount for students staying on the course 24 or more weeks, for those who seek maximal contact with English language, life and culture. It may include preparation for examinations such as: IELTS, TOEFL, FCE, CAE or CPE. It is also possible to take part in afternoon classes of Business English or English in Tourism. Options mentioned above are included in the price for whole-day ISC courses, but are also available for those taking part in morning courses for additional payment in the amount of 212 GBP for 4 weeks. Participants of the ISC course have the opportunity to study at one of two or three colleges in Great Britain, USA or Canada during the course, but the college has to be chosen in the moment of enrolling on the course. 
 

PREPARATORY COURSE FOR CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATIONS

Attention: some courses require correspondence qualification pre-test at least 8 weeks before the exams.

GENERAL ENGLISH + BUSINESS ENGLISH
 

Price includes: booking of the course, information package, lessons, basic handbooks, using language laboratories and school's library, reports and certificate of the completion of the course, gifts from St. Giles.

Price does not include: accommodation and booking of accommodation, trips, theatre tickets, examination fees, transfer from the airport to place of accommodation.

NOTES:
ˇ During afternoon classes (Business English) general issues concerning trade will be covered and students will discuss on business topics. Writing reports, summaries, business letters etc. will also be covered. Students will have the opportunity to excercise all those skills during simulated activities such as: interview, work interview, telephone calls, negotiations, meetings, conferences etc. Level required:intermediate and higher.

GENERAL COURSE + ENGLISH IN TOURISM

COURSE FOR TEACHERS (26 HOURS PER WEEK)

Course is a summary of ELT methodology and practice. High level of English knowledge required.

Preparation for IELTS examination

ENGLISH + Internship

Persons who chose the course lasting 4 weeks or more have the opportunity to test themselves at work for 4 or more weeks. Dates of the start and charges the same as in the case of general courses. Charge for finding a job 590 GBP (internship 1-12 weeks) or  675 GBP (internship 13 weeks or more).

Accommodation - Eastbourne

Accommodation is available on Sunday in the evening, before the course starts, till Sunday after the end of the course. Students who chose the accommodation in double room pay as for single room if one of the persons resigns or if we cannot find a roommate for this student.
 

NOTES:
ˇ Booking of the accommodation with a British family between 25.12.2011 - 26.12.2011 is additionally paid in the amount of 40 GBP. Price includes full board in this time.

Transfer from the airport

Charge for transfer from the airport to the place of accommodation is: 
- London Heathrow - 104 GBP
- London Gatwick - 82 GBP
- Luton - 138 GBP
- Stansted - 138 GBP
- London City - 133 GBP

It is price for one-way transfer. For waiting for the student (e.g. if the flight is delayed) you have to pay additionally  15 GBP  for every hour above 1 hour of delay. Persons ordering trnasfer together pay additionally 7 GBP for picking up to every additional place of accommodation. 

How to become the student at St. Giles Colleges?  

All issues concerning the course, booking, arrival, journey etc. may be settled in person or by mail at College of Foreign Languages  "LEXIS" or with our Representative. When you choose the course, accommodation and other services you are asked to fill in the application form, sign the contract and pay the agreed amount in PLN on our bank account "LEXIS". The application form, one copy of the contract and confirmation of payment should be sent to us by mail or fax, so that we receive it 2 weeks before the course starts (persons from other towns contact our Representative).

Before you leave you will receive:

ˇ confirmation of the admission to the course together with a special letter for the border authorities in Great Britain so that you do not have any problems entering Great Britain,
ˇ ticket for your journey - if you leave from Warsaw (persons leaving from other cities in Poland contact our Representative),
ˇ confirmation of the booking of your accommodation together with the address, telephone and short characteristic of the host family,
ˇ bill for all services you paid for.
