GENERAL ENGLISH COURSES FOR ADULTS 16+ and courses for children and teenagers BOURNEMOUTH

• Full payment must be made at least 17 days before the course starts

• The age of course participants - 10+ years

• New participants write a test on Monday morning (or on Tuesday if Monday is a day free from work)

• New participants should be at school on the first day at 8.45 am
  

Participants are obliged to attend all lessons - they may resign only with a permission from their parents or a group leader.
Participants aged from 14 to 15 years may not be supervised while not having free time but must be back before 10.30 pm.
They are not given the keys to an apartment.

Special offer for groups:

A free ride to a London -Heathrow airport for groups with 24 (and more) people ( participants must travel by the same plane).

Price of the course includes:

• Teaching - 20 lessons/per week

• one full-day trip a week (some entry fees included)

• one mini-trip a week

• a full sports and culture activities programme every day + 2, 3 evenings a week

• a welcome and familiarisation/introductory trip

• practical test on the day of arrival, a weekly test checking the study progress, the use of course books

• 24-hour alarm number

• wi -fi access and e-mail at school

• Lunch -from Monday to Friday

• a possibility of keeping the money at school for safety reasons (school bank service)

• laundry every week

• completion of course certificate

• goodbye party
  

Normal sports and culture activities programme with all provisions includes:

Volleyball, football, table tennis ,mini-golf, swimming, archery, mini-cruise, adventure trail, treasure hunt, roller -skates,
riding a bike, walk by the forest, mini-Olympic games, beach games, cinema, cabaret, fashion shows, quizzes, bingo,
singing together, karaoke, teas, the art club, talent show, boat trip, picnics, beach parties, barbecue, sightseeing.

Example trips (included in the price):

Bath, Salisbury and Stonehenge, Winchester, Windsor, Oxford, Brighton, castles, parks and forests including brand
new national park.

**Summer English course - a detailed description

Important: Participants are not suprevised outside the classroom.

Participants aged from 14 to 15 years of age who belong to groups outside the classroom are looked after a leader
of the group. They are not given the keys to an apartment and must be back in the place of accommodation before
10.30 pm.

Price of the course includes:

• Teaching - 20 lessons/per week

• a wide range of activities -3, 4 times a week

• a welcome and familiarisation trip

• practical test on the day of arrival, a weekly test checking the study progress, the use of coursebooks

• 24-hour alarm number

• wi-fi access and e-mail at school

• completion of course certificate

• goodbye party

Additional activities: Volleyball, football, table tennis, basketball, sports days, the art club, movies, quizzes, karaoke,
games and entertainment, bingo, discos.
Paid activities: Cinema, theatre, bowling, roller skates, mini-trips, culture trips, barbecue.

parks and forest including brand new national park.

ACCOMMODATION - BOURNEMOUTH

*Low season: from 1st of January to 17th of June and from 12nd of August to 23rd of December 2018 inclusive.
High season: from 17th of June to 12nd of August 2018 inclusive.

> Price includes half board from Monday to Friday (breakfast and hot dinner). On weekends participants have full board. Laundry possible only with a surcharge of 5 GBP/per week. Kings school stipulates the right to collect a surcharge (20 GBP per week) from students who book the course 10 days or less before the arrival.
> Accommodation from Saturday to Saturday.

Arrival on Saturday before the course

Accommodation conditions:

• Bedclothes provided, however students should bring their own towels

• huge, single bedroom with full furnishing

Refundable deposit:

Refundable deposit of 100£ will be collected from the participant on the day of arrival to the place of accommodation in case of damages or the key loss.

Kings students residences

• Students residences with a full furnishing with 5-6 bedrooms in the house and shared bathroom , kitchen and saloon

• Single and double rooms available

• Self-catering in students residences

• Bedclothes provided on the day of participant's arrival

• Laundry and cleaning up is participant's responsibility

• Towels are not provided

• Students residences within around 10-20 min. distance from school

Accommodation in summer season: Purbeck House:

• Available from 18th of July to 15th of August

• Min. age: 18 years

• Single bedrooms with a private bathroom

• 10 min. distance from school

• Rooms divided into independent apartments with 5-6 bedrooms with shared kitchen/saloon in each of apartments

• Protection and safety (cameras, 24-hour protection)

• Well equipped kitchen with comfortable saloon and dining room

• 24-hour telephone information

• Railway and bus station nearby, local supermarket, self-serviced laundry

TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT  - one-way prices for one person

In order to book a transfer from the airport, please send us a complete information about your flight in writing at least 7 days before the arrival. It is likely that later booking of the flight may not be booked . Prices shown reffer to one person. Prices for 2 or more people for a taxi reffer only to people travelling by the same plane. If you have any trouble with finding "Kings School Guide" or a taxi driver in the arrivals hall please go to the nearest information point at the airport an ask for a contact with a driver or telephone alarm number from a letter confirming the airport transfer.

Important: students below 16 years of age cannot go to and from the airport by themselves. In order to get more information please contact us.

From Bournemouth Travel Interchange participants may take a taxi to the place of accommodation -cost about 10 £.

* Airport transfer in summer season available every Saturday, includes arrivals between9 am and 2.30 pm as well as departures after 12 am.
- if the arrival is on Terminal 1 or 2, representative of the school meets arriving persons in the arrivals hall.
- if the arrival is on Terminal 3,4 and 5 we ask you to take your luggage and go to Terminal 1. There you should ask for "King's School Bournemouth Guide" at the Information Desk.

School is closed from 17th of December to 2nd of January 2017 .
