St. Giles School of English has two branches in London, one in the city centre, second in the north district of Great Britain's capital city - Highgate. Virtue of this branch is its location near the green areas of Highgate Woods and Hampstead Heath. The school has a big garden, where many recreation activities and grill parties take place. School's library has its own audio-visual equipment, access to the Internet and reading room. There is also cafeteria in the school, where you can eat tasty and not expensive meals.

SEMESTER COURSE (ISC)

English course with discount for students who want to stay in London for 24 or more weeks and have maximal contact with British culture and every-day life. Semester course  may optionally include preparation for IELTS, TOEFL, FCE, CAE, CPE Examinations. These options are included in the price of the course.

INDIVIDUAL CLASSES 

English Plus
It is a combination of every English course with individual classes every day (min 5 classes/week) and is for persons who want to improve their learning results.
Additional charge (5 lessons) :  195 GBP/week, 39 GBP for every next lesson.
 

GENERAL COURSE + BUSINESS ENGLISH (28 classes per week)

Dates of the starts of the English courses 2012:
the same as for General  English course. Classes are held in the system: 20 lessons of General English in the morning, 8 lessons of Business English in the afternoon. The course may include preparation for Cambridge Business English Certificate  (BEC) Examination - it is possible to take the exam in London or in Poland (information at LEXIS). This course is for people on intermediate or higher level.

NOTES:
· During afternoon classes (Business English) general issues concerning trade will be covered and students will discuss on business topics. Writing reports, summaries, business letters etc. will also be covered. Students will have the opportunity to excercise all those skills during simulated activities such as: interview, work interview, telephone calls, negotiations, meetings, conferences etc. 

GENERAL COURSE + ENGLISH for TOURISM (28 classes per week)

Accommodation - London Highgate

Accommodation is available on Sunday evening before the start of the course to Sunday after the end of the course. Students who chose double room pay as for a single room if one person resigns or there is no roommate for this person. Extra money that you paid for double room will be returned to you after the end of the course.

· *-Booking of the accommodation with a British family between 25-26.12.2012 (Christmas in England) requires additional payment in the amount of 30 GBP. In this time the price includes full board.
- Accommodation available from Sunday before the course to Sunday after the course. Double rooms available for persons going on the course together. If you do not have a roommate and you would like to live in a double room, you pay as for a single room - if the school finds a roommate for you, you will get the extra money you paid at the end of the course. If you book accommodation and you want to keep the booking during the break that you plan you have to pay 50% of the price. Other type of accommodation is available for persons over 18 years old. Younger students should have a written agreement of their parents to live in residences, hotels etc.

Transfer from the airport

Charge for the transfer from the airport to the place of accommodation is:

This is the price for one-way transfer. For waiting for the student (e.g. if the flight is delayed) you have to pay additionally 11 GBP for every hour above 1 hour of the delay.
 

How to become the student at St. Giles Colleges?

All issues concerning the course, booking, arrival, journey etc. may be settled in person or by mail at College of Foreign Languages  "LEXIS" or with our Representative. When you choose the course, accommodation and other services you are asked to fill in the application form, sign the contract and pay the agreed amount in PLN on our bank account "LEXIS". The application form, one copy of the contract and confirmation of payment should be sent to us by mail or fax, so that we receive it 2 weeks before the course starts (persons from other towns contact our Representative).


 

Before you leave you will receive:

· confirmation of the admission to the course together with a special letter for the border authorities in Great Britain so that you do not have any problems entering Great Britain,
· ticket for your journey - if you leave from Warsaw (persons leaving from other cities in Poland contact our Representative),
ˇ confirmation of the booking of your accommodation together with the address, telephone and short characteristic of the host family,
ˇ bill for all services you paid for.
