Global Programme Course 2008
It is a long-term programme that enables the students of all nationalities to combine Intensive English Course with paid internship.

The programme starts with 8-week Intensive English Course. After its completion paid internship starts, which lasts 5 months. The course is the basis for taking Cambridge International Examinations Certificate in Work Placement on advanced level. 

The programme is available for students of all nationalities. Language course takes place at Kings Bournemouth or Kings London. Paid internship may take place wherever in Great Britain.

Price includes

8-week Intensive English Course includes

  • 28 lessons per week (21 hours) at Kings Bournemouth and Kings London (8 weeks)

  • General English classes in the morning

  • English classes preparing for examinations or Business English

  • access to the materials to learn on your own

  • free access to the Internet

  • certificate of the completion of the course

  • 6 weeks of accommodation with a host family

Programme of paid internship includes:

  • full-time paid internship (20-40 hours per week) for minimum 20 weeks
  • help in dealing with the documents (tax, insurance)
  • optional training guaranteed by the employer
  • help during the internship
  • Cambridge CIE Advance Certificate in Work Placement
Section1): 8-week Intensive English Course Intensive English Course covers 28 classes per week (21 hours). Programme includes general English classes and additional options, among others: Business English, preparation for IELTS. All students have to participate in Business English classes for 4 weeks
Section 2): 5-month paid internship After the completion of Intensive English Course the students start paid internship. They usually work 20-40 hours per week. These are usually hotels, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Students get paid for the work. 

We require students to get  CIE Cambridge Certificate in Work Placement on advanced level during the internship. 
Important Information

level We require students to know English at least on intermediate level (IELTS 4.5 or First Certificate). Students on lower level should earlier complete longer intensive course. All students have to take qualification test before the registration. 
Minimal age of the participants 20 (on average: 20-25 years)

homework's about 1 hour a day (4-6 hours per week).
trips Once a week the school organizes weekend trips to known cities and tourist attractions. Price of the trip is £20 - £30. More information in  Free Time.
Attractions The school organizes after-classes activities, among others: volleyball, basketball, football, student parties, DVD shows. Some activities are free, and for some you have to pay. More information in Free Time.
notes Programmes "Work and Study" are for students who are responsible and involved in the work.

Most of the students find the work in the hotels, restaurants, but also conference centres, garden centres, cleaning services, supermarkets etc. 

4 weeks of accommodation with an English family is included in the price of the course. After the completion of the course, usually it is the employer who guarantees the accommodation (about £40 - £70 will be taken from your wages per week). If the employer is not able to guarantee the accommodation, the employers of Kings will help you suitable place.

The students participate in qualification interviews before they start to work. It usually lasts 1-2 weeks.

Price of the course does not include the costs of transport from the school/ host family to the work etc..
