Free English courses in Torbay, England 2011

Students taking part in this course will be taught free of charge by professionals as well as by apprentice teachers preparing for obtaining a Cambridge CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults) Diploma.

The course lasts for two or four weeks and comprises 3 hours of English a day. Every day the students will have 1 class with a professional teacher and 2 classes with apprentice teachers. The apprentice teachers will take turns, but they will always be supervised by a professional teacher.

Level: pre-intermediate or upper-intermediate

Remarks: Only students at the pre-intermediate or upper-intermediate level may enrol on this programme, therefore applicants will be tested before enrolling on the course. The participants must sign a note confirming that they know, that they will be taught partly by professional and partly by apprentice teachers.

Prices: Students need to pay the registration fee of 45 GBP and the accommodation cost. The accommodation prices are available on LAL Torbay's homepage. 

From the previous year  LAL school introduce a fee of 45 GBP for one week of tuition. This  is very attractive comparing prices of standard courses in England (about 150 - 200 GBP for a week).

There is constant attendance required

Course timetable: 12.45 - 14.45 - two-hour lesson with the apprentice teachers. The apprentice teachers will take turns and will be supervised by professional teachers.
15.00 - 16.00 - one-hour lesson with a professional teacher.
