Tourism and Hospitality studies at TAFE NSW - Northern Sydney Institute (NSI) provide hands-on learning experiences within the bustling environment of Australia’s most commercial city.

Tourism and Hospitality Studies
NSI boasts a comprehensive range of on-campus facilities to ensure students develop industry skills that translate to a practical career edge.

Training facilities across four colleges incorporate Ryde College’s fully functioning four-star hotel with conference and banquet facilities, thirteen commercial cookery kitchens, two bakeries, three restaurants and a café, and state of the art coffee training facilities at the Sydney Coffee Academy.

Students also have access to New South Wales’ only Asian teaching kitchen at Crows Nest College, whilst Northern Beaches College offers a wide choice of tourism and hospitality study options with close proximity to the world-renowned northern beaches of Sydney.

Within NSI’s world-class facilities a range of courses are available from Certificate 1 to Advanced Diploma level.

For students wishing to continue their studies beyond Diploma level, NSI has developed strong links with a number of Australia’s universities.

NSI also delivers internationally recognised culinary and patisserie programs on behalf of Le Cordon Bleu International at its Ryde College. Students emerge from these courses with AQTF Certificate Level III up to a Grand Diplome.

Offshore programs in Tourism and Hospitality are also conducted at Shanghai Business School and China University of Mining and Technology.

Recent research into the Australian coffee and café sector resulted in the development of the Sydney Coffee Academy. A suite of coffee courses now ensures a flow of competent skills back into the industry.
